Virginia Giuffre, a former victim of Jeffrey Epstein's sex driving force, who said she was “passed as a fruit plate” from teenager to rich and powerful predators, including Prince Andrew of Great Britain, died on Friday in his farm in Western Australia. He was 41 years old.
Mrs. Giuffre died of suicide, according to a family declaration. Mrs. Giuffre (pronounced Jiff-Ree) wrote in an Instagram march that was far away from the death of renal failure after being injured in an accident with a school bus that said she was traveling almost 70 mph
In 2019, Epstein was arrested and accused by federal ministries in the southern district of New York with sex trafficking and conspiracy, and was accused of having urged the teenage girls to carry out massages that have become increasingly sexual in nature.
Barely a month after being arrested and one day after the documents were released by the success of Lady Giuffre's defamation against him, Mr. Epstein was found hanged in his cell in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan. His death, at 66, was committed suicide.
In 2009, Giuffre, identified only as Jane Doe 102, had sued Mr. Epstein, accusing him and Ghislaine Maxwell, his co-clergyman and the daughter of the unfortunate magnate of the British media Robert Maxwell, to recruit her to join her sex traffic ring when she was a minor under the mask of becoming a professional massage.
In 2015, it was the first of Mr. Epstein's victims who gave up his anonymity and becoming public, selling his story to Sunday's mail, a British tabloid.
“Basically, I was training to be a prostitute for him and his friends who shared his interest in girls”, Mrs. Giuffre was mentioned by saying in the book of Nigel Cawthorne, “Virginia Giuffre: The Extra
“Ghislaine told me I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey,” he said.
Mrs. Giuffre accused Mr. Epstein, a millionaire financier, and Mrs. Maxwell, a British socialite, to force her to have sex with Prince Andrew, also known as the Duke of York. He categorically denied the accusations, but renounced his real duties in 2019.
In 2021 he caused the prince, who is the younger brother of King Charles II, for having sexually attacked her at Mrs. Maxwell's house in London and the houses of Epstein in Manhattan and Little St. James in the Virgin Islands.
A widely published photograph showed Prince Andrew with his hand around his life; He said he had no memory of the occasion.
After Prince Andrew agreed to resolve the cause of Mrs. Giuffre in 2022, he praised her in a declaration for talking and undertook to “demonstrate her regret” for her association with Mr. Epstein “supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking and supporting her victims”.
The settlement included a sum not disclosed to be paid to her and her charity organization, now called Speak Out, Act, complaint.
In interviews and depositions, Mrs. Giuffre said she was recruited in the sexual ring in 2000 while working as an assistant for changing rooms in the Mar-a-lago resort of President Trump in Palm Beach, Florida. For his report he was reading a massage therapy manual when he was approached by Mrs. Maxwell and was invited to become Masseuse on the travel of Epstein. He said the couple then edited him to perform sexual services for rich men.
He sued Mrs. Maxwell for defamation in 2015; They settled on a sum not disclosed in 2017. The trial and condemnation of Mrs. Maxwell in 2022 were considered a rendering of the legal accounts that Mr. Epstein had denied the judicial system – and his victims – hanging himself. Mrs. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Virginia Louise Roberts was born on August 9, 1983, in Sacramento in Sky and Lynn Roberts. When he was 4 years old, the family moved to the county of Palm Beach, where his father was director of the maintenance of Mar-a-lago.
He said he ran away from home after being harassed by a close family friend since he was 7 years old. She was placed in foster houses, climbing on board with an aunt in California, she flew from the former Hippie Cava of Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco, she lived on the streets when she was 14 years old and spent six months with a 65-year-old sex trafficker who abused her.
Compared to living on the streets and earning $ 9 the hour for his summer work in Mar-A-Lago, Epstein's offer to make $ 200 a massage-più times a day-era, he wrote Cawthorne, one that “Virginia had determined that he could not refuse”.
But his mandate went beyond. He told BBC in 2019 that he was “passed like a fruit plate” to the friends of Mr. Epstein and transmitted around the world on private jets.
In 2002, when he was 19, he enrolled in the international training school in Thailand to become a professional masseuse and was assigned to recruit a girl for the ring. There he met Robert Giuffre, an Australian martial arts instructor, and married.
The couple had three children and lived in Australia, Florida and Colorado before settling in Perth in 2020. They have been separated since then. A complete list of survivors was not immediately available.
Mrs. Giuffre told Miami Herald in 2019 that the birth of her daughter in 2010 prompted her to speak publicly about her victimization. He also explained why he originally started to let Mr. Epstein and Mrs. Maxwell take care of her as a masseuse and provide sexual services.
“They looked like nice people, so I trusted them and I told them that I had had a really difficult moment in my life until then – I had been on the run, I had been sexually abused, physically abused,” said Giuffre. “This was the worst thing I could have said because now they knew how vulnerable I was.”
